Decision taken to postpone Frigair Exhibition to June 2022

JOHANNESBURG – June 22, 2020 – SAIRAC, Interact Media Defined and Specialised Exhibitions, have consulted widely with stakeholders in the HVAC and Refrigeration Industries. This is due to the global pandemic and the devastating effect Covid-19 is having on both the local South African and international economies.
Based on the results of this consultation and the results of a stakeholder survey, SAIRAC, and its partners Interact Media Defined and Specialised Exhibitions, SAIRAC has taken the decision to move the dates of its Frigair Expo 2021 to June 1-3 June 2022.

The show will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre Centre, Johannesburg.
“Measures declared by the President on Sunday the 15th of March included a ‘ban on mass gatherings of more than 100 people’, as well as social distancing, & subsequently has enforced a complete lockdown of South Africa exempting only essential services” says Gary Corin, Managing Director of Specialised Exhibitions.

“We fully support this pronouncement and measures taken by Government in instituting a country wide lockdown, the safety and wellbeing of our exhibitors, suppliers and visitors – and indeed the industry as a whole – is of paramount importance, thus we have decided to postpone the expo to 2022.
“Interact Media Defined, SAIRAC and Specialised Exhibitions looks forward to hosting a strong showing for the Heating, Ventilation, Airconditioning and Refrigeration industry in 2022. We appreciate the input, engagement and support of all industry stakeholders. We appreciate the need for an industry platform and hope that the decision to defer the exhibition by a year will allow for a substantive event in 2022” concluded Sean Macnamara, Managing Director of Interact Media Defined.

All exhibitors’ bookings and space allocations will be carried over to the 2022 show. Our team of professionals will be in personal contact with all exhibitors both confirmed and provisional to ensure a seamless transition to Frigair 2022.
